Software Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform (Aerospace)

Location: Remote (United States). Access to export-controlled information requires eligibility under U.S. export regulations.

What you will do

• Build cloud foundations including accounts, projects, networking, DNS, IPAM, identity, RBAC, quotas, and policy.
• Own Kubernetes cluster provisioning, upgrades, add-ons, Gateway API, service mesh, and zero-trust connectivity.
• Design disconnected deployment and packaging workflows, including artifact mirroring, hermetic builds, offline bootstrapping, Helm, rendering, and custom controllers.
• Build GitOps delivery with Argo CD, infrastructure-as-code orchestration, drift detection, policy gates, and environment promotion.
• Manage fleet-scale versioning, staged rollouts, migrations, deprecations, availability, observability, backup and recovery, and incident response.
• Partner with product and domain engineering teams to provide reusable self-service infrastructure primitives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience with production infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience automating infrastructure in code.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Experience packaging and delivering software onto Kubernetes, including tradeoffs between templating, rendering, and controller-based approaches.
• Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information is required under applicable ITAR/EAR rules.

Nice to have

• Experience with classified, air-gapped, regulated, or otherwise constrained environments.
• Experience with cloud landing zones, IAM foundations, workload identity, organizational policy, and quota management.
• Experience with Argo CD, Flux, Terraform, or OpenTofu and reusable infrastructure modules.
• Experience designing infrastructure platforms used by multiple internal engineering teams.
