What you will do

• Design, build, and operate services and automations that support Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Develop production code to ensure distributed systems remain healthy under significant production load.
• Support cloud configurations across AWS and Azure environments using Terraform.
• Maintain observability coverage, including metrics, alerts, and basic distributed tracing across core data pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established testing standards for unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with product management and technical leadership to implement well-scoped tasks.

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Practical experience building or operating backend services using Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of Go (Golang), Shell, Terraform, or YAML.
• Exposure to AWS core services (EC2, S3, EKS) or Azure equivalents (VMs, Blob Storage, AKS).
• Foundational understanding of distributed datastores, caching, or asynchronous event streaming (e.g., Kafka).
• Must be based in the US, excluding CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, and WA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and advanced deployment strategies (canary, blue/green).
• Interest in policy-as-code tools such as OPA/Gatekeeper.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or distributed tracing concepts.
• Knowledge of network topology, proxy layers, or mail transfer agent (MTA) protocols.
