Cybersecurity Consultant Intern (Cybersecurity)

Location: Primarily in-person across hirify.global offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts; requires local, national, and occasional international travel. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $33.00–$36.00 per hour in CO, IL, OH, and MA.

What you will do

• Support clients with cybersecurity and IT audit engagements.
• Assist with SOC examinations covering security, confidentiality, availability, processing integrity, and privacy controls.
• Conduct IT risk assessments and controls-based audits.
• Support compliance reviews for GLBA, SOX, HIPAA, FFIEC, and other industry regulations.
• Perform cybersecurity maturity assessments against NIST, PCI DSS, ISO, and related standards.
• Research periodic projects, complete special analyses, and participate in client networking and business development activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, information security, business administration, finance, management information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Detail-oriented approach with problem-solving, communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• On track to complete the degree and pursue relevant certifications such as CPA or CISA.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
• Ability to travel locally, nationally, and occasionally internationally and to work more than 40 hours during some periods.
