Associate Distribution System Operator (Electric Distribution)

Location: Manchester, NH; travel between MA, CT, and NH is required, with 24/7 shift rotation coverage and emergency restoration assignments.

Starting rate of pay: $52.19 per hour.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, review, and issue switching, tagging, and clearance activities.
• Analyze trouble calls, initiate corrective actions, and coordinate personnel call-outs.
• Monitor circuit and substation loads and voltages during switching and peak periods.
• Support emergency response and storm restoration across area work centers and regional operations centers.
• Maintain the electric model in the outage management system to reflect real-time system status.
• Coordinate emergency actions with internal teams, utilities, and federal, state, and municipal partners.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Zero to five years of related electrical utility experience.
• Working knowledge of transmission and distribution equipment, work practices, construction standards, safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and design codes.
• Thorough knowledge of switching and tagging procedures and electric distribution system operations.
• Ability to analyze system problems, act promptly during emergencies, and work effectively under stress with limited supervision.
• Must be available for emergency restoration assignments, travel between MA/CT/NH, and 24/7 shift rotation coverage.
