Service Manager (Lawn Care)

Location: Crestwood, Illinois, United States; must be physically located in the United States while performing the job. The role requires extensive local travel and outdoor field work.

Salary: $60,482–$100,802 per year, plus medical, dental, vision insurance and company-matching 401(k).

What you will do

• Recruit, interview, select, supervise, and evaluate lawn care specialists and trainees.
• Coach and develop field staff in customer service, technical skills, safety policies, and procedures.
• Monitor service quality, address customer concerns, and develop procedures to reduce complaints and cancellations.
• Plan schedules, assign duties, coordinate information between customers and technicians, and expedite workflow.
• Supervise production and sales goals, maintain team morale, and conduct daily and weekly management meetings.
• Maintain safety, Department of Transportation inspection, driver qualification, and licensing records.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a business-related discipline and at least two years of related lawn, horticulture, agronomy, or lawn care service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of supervisory management experience.
• Valid permanent driver’s license from the state of residence and current liability auto insurance.
• Must be at least 21 years old by the date of hire and physically located in the United States while performing the job.
• Fluent spoken, written, and read English is required.
• Strong communication, leadership, time management, business process analysis, service industry, sales planning, and Microsoft Office skills.
