Machine Learning / Data Science Engineer (AI)

Location: Reston, Virginia, USA; employees must be available to work onsite at a client location or hirify.global office when requested, with remote work permitted when compatible with client and company needs. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end machine learning and data science solutions with clients, data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Translate business needs into data-driven processes, models, and analytical measures.
• Analyze and transform multi-billion-record datasets across AWS, Azure, GCP, and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop and deploy analytical solutions such as recommender systems, natural language processing, and risk scoring.
• Productionize, optimize, and scale machine learning systems, including LLM and agentic AI applications.
• Support client presentations, proposals, business development, and the growth of machine learning and data science practices while leading junior data scientists and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Hands-on experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets and developing production-scale data-driven solutions using Python, Scala, or similar languages.
• Production proficiency with SQL, Spark, NoSQL, cloud data processing frameworks, and data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure SQL, or Amazon RDS.
• Experience with containerization, Docker, microservices, DevOps, automation, model management, and model versioning.
• Experience implementing production-scale machine learning systems and applying statistical modeling across business domains.
• Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, MCP, RAG, agentic AI architectures, conversational UX, prompt evaluation metrics, agentic frameworks, and multi-agent orchestration.
