Entertainment Tech - Theatrical Maintenance (Full-Time Hourly)

hirify.global operates an animal-focused theme park and entertainment venue with theatrical performances, special events, and guest experiences.

What you will do

• Perform theater and stadium opening and closing duties, daily systems inspections, and show-readiness checks.
• Set up and operate performances and special events as a stagehand, spotlight, lighting, audio, or camera/video operator.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair theatrical equipment, including moving lights, pumps, motors, fixtures, and pneumatics.
• Assist the Production team with installations for new shows, special events, and consumer events.
• Work with the Stage Manager to complete daily assignments and project-list items.
• Maintain safe, clean, and operational assigned show areas while following department policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum age of 18.
• At least one year of experience in a theme park or theatrical environment, with specific training in lighting, staging, video, audio, or equipment repair.
• Ability to operate computers and computerized theatrical control systems and communicate professionally via headset.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6 to 65 feet, stand or kneel for extended periods, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in dark and nighttime conditions, around water, animals, noise, vibrations, fumes, dust, odors, and changing weather.
• Availability for varying shifts, including opening, closing, and event rehearsal shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience operating industrial vehicles or watercraft such as high-reach equipment, forklifts, scissor lifts, barges, or boats.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory, carpentry, and pyrotechnic-material handling.
• Ability to read lighting plots, schematics, and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid state driver’s license.
