General Maintenance Mechanic (HVAC/Plumbing)

Salary: $22.00–$39.40 per hour

What you will do

• Investigate, maintain, and repair Solar equipment, facilities, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and construct or modify facilities and devices.
• Handle machining operations, bench work, layouts, sketches, fabrication, carpentry, painting, hydraulics, and mechanical repairs.
• Use acetylene and oxygen torches for silver soldering, brazing, torch cutting, plumbing, and heating shafts, hubs, or bearings.
• Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage control circuits using a volt-ohmmeter and other diagnostic instruments.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with mechanical, plumbing, and building systems is relevant to the role.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring employer-sponsored H, L, TN, F, J, E, or O status are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Building maintenance experience.
• Drywall and carpentry experience.
• Certification in skilled trades.
• At least 3 years of related mechanical, plumbing, and building systems experience.
