General Maintenance Mechanic

What you will do

• Investigate, maintain, and repair Solar equipment and facility systems.
• Construct, modify, and alter facilities, devices, and maintenance-related structures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and production systems.
• Carry out machining, bench work, layouts, sketches, fabrication, carpentry, painting, and related mechanical tasks.
• Use acetylene and oxygen torches for silver soldering, brazing, torch cutting, plumbing, and heating shafts, hubs, or bearings.
• Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage control circuits, including 110-volt AC and 24-volt DC systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Must work onsite in San Diego, California.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring employer-sponsored H, L, TN, F, J, E, or O status are not currently being hired.

Nice to have

• Building maintenance experience.
• Drywall and carpentry experience.
• Certification in a skilled trade.
• At least three years of related mechanical, plumbing, and building-systems experience.
