Senior Scientist - Strategic Health Sciences

Location: Herndon, Virginia or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; current and future U.S. work authorization required

Salary: USD $145,000–$165,630.40 per year, plus potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject-matter expert in chemical management and product stewardship.
• Provide strategic guidance on chemical risk, compliance, sustainability, and product life-cycle management.
• Lead analytical evaluations, technical deliverables, presentations, proposals, budgets, schedules, and quality control.
• Interpret global chemical regulations and translate requirements into actionable business strategies.
• Collaborate with regulatory, toxicology, engineering, risk management, and corporate strategy teams.
• Lead thought leadership, business development, client relationships, and the growth of the sector practice.

Requirements

• MS or doctoral degree preferred in engineering, toxicology, pharmacology, or epidemiology; an MBA, MPH, or JD is desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing, product stewardship, regulatory management, or advisory roles.
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing highly technical teams and complex projects.
• Recognized industry leadership in chemical product stewardship or chemical management.
• Strong knowledge of global chemical regulatory frameworks, product life-cycle requirements, exposure and risk assessment, regulatory affairs, and chemical supply chains.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and a motor vehicle records check.

Nice to have

• Experience advising multinational or global organizations on chemical stewardship challenges.
• Familiarity with TSCA, REACH, GHS, and international product stewardship standards.
• Professional certifications related to chemical management, sustainability, or regulatory affairs.
• Active participation in industry organizations.
