Toxicologist (Computational Toxicology)

Location: Remote in the United States; onsite work is required if located within 50 miles of hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, or hirify.global Center in Austin, Texas. Travel may include up to 5% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Conduct and communicate human health risk assessments for a broad range of products.
• Assess scientific literature, toxicological databases, hazards, exposure, and safety endpoints.
• Author chemical hazard summaries and support chemicals management and alternative chemical selection.
• Recommend and coordinate toxicology studies with third-party contract research organizations.
• Evaluate emerging scientific methods, computational tools, and regulatory developments to improve assessment quality and efficiency.
• Advise internal stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in toxicology, pharmacology, biomedical science, or a related scientific field.
• At least three years of experience in toxicological assessments, human health risk assessments, or product safety evaluations.
• Experience interpreting and integrating experimental and computational data for business and regulatory decisions.
• Strong technical writing, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• PhD, MD, or DVM with at least one year of experience.
• Board certification such as DABT.
• Experience with the OECD QSAR Toolbox and other computational toxicology tools.
• Ability to critically evaluate model outputs and document weight-of-evidence conclusions.
