Assistant Buyer - Camping/Water Sports

Location: Headquarters in Katy, Texas, United States; regular in-office attendance is required

What you will do

• Support the buying process for camping and water sports products by managing advertising selections and analyzing sales trends.
• Help select products for print and digital features and maintain online and in-store assortments.
• Create and maintain item setup and item ranging to ensure accurate product flow into the business.
• Monitor inventory, coordinate samples, prepare financial projections, and support category strategy.
• Partner with vendors to maintain accurate product information, align pricing, resolve issues, and keep orders on track.
• Coordinate with category management, marketing, eCommerce, allocation, new store opening, and private label teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 0–3 years of experience, preferably in a corporate retail environment.
• Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and present recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication, planning, organization, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with up to 10% travel and occasional overnight stays.
