Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (Texas)

Location: On-site training at SCP Distributors locations in Webster, Dallas, and McKinney, Texas. Relocation out of state is required after training, with company-provided assistance.

Compensation: $28.85 per hour for a full-time schedule in NV, NY, WA, CA, CO, CT, NJ, RI, and HI; relocation or cost-of-living adjustments may apply.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on training program in distribution center operations, management, and purchasing.
• Rotate through distribution center functions and shadow experienced employees to learn operating methods and performance standards.
• Work with contractors, builders, service and maintenance customers, and retail store customers to understand the industry.
• Attend classroom, role-play, and computer lab training covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
• Complete special operations projects and present program results to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience, or relevant internships, clubs, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse and lead and develop a team in a changing environment.
• Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, maneuver heavy machinery, and lift products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verification is required; the role is safety-sensitive.

• Microsoft Office knowledge and the ability to learn inventory and other software systems.
