Plating Operator -2nd Shift (90-day increase eligible) (PCB Manufacturing)

Location: San Diego, CA, United States; onsite. Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Salary: $40,210–$63,558 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium.

What you will do

• Operate wet-process equipment for PCB panel processing, including copper, solder, silver, and gold plating, etching, organic coating, and hot air leveling.
• Set and maintain chemical processing equipment and plating baths within required temperature, current, and operating parameters.
• Load plating racks, follow product-flow and dispatch requirements, and meet output targets while responding to schedule changes.
• Read blueprints and traveler documents to process and move products according to customer specifications.
• Report panel and chemical-bath quality issues and assist Process Engineers with chemical process evaluations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, complete departmental documentation, and safely handle chemicals and hazardous waste.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of process chemistry and good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at the level required to perform the job.
• Regular attendance and compliance with all chemical-handling, hazardous-waste, and personal-protective-equipment procedures.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Department of Defense security clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
