TL;DR
Plating Technician (Electroplating/Metal Finishing): Performing electroplating and metal-finishing processes for high-reliability semiconductor components with an accent on part preparation, chemical bath control, and quality inspection. Focus on operating plating equipment, analyzing process parameters, maintaining production records, and following hazardous-materials and safety requirements.
Location: Carlsbad, California, United States; onsite. Full-time schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

What you will do
- Prepare and finish parts through cleaning, masking, racking, plating, and post-finish operations.
- Operate plating tanks, rectifiers, ovens, and auxiliary processing equipment according to work instructions.
- Monitor and adjust chemical bath parameters, including pH, temperature, and concentration.
- Inspect plated components for appearance, thickness, adhesion, and defects using visual and basic measurement methods.
- Record production results and chemical data while maintaining accurate process logs.
- Follow safety and hazardous-materials procedures, maintain the plating area, support equipment maintenance, and escalate process or quality issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or metal finishing; related experience of 1–2 years is required.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to comply with PPE, safety, and hazardous-materials handling requirements.
Nice to have
- 2–4 years of electroplating, anodizing, or metal-finishing experience.
- Experience plating precious metals such as gold, nickel, or silver.
- Familiarity with ISO or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Basic experience with chemical titration or bath analysis.
