Plating Equipment Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Andover, Massachusetts, US. Onsite 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm.

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, plus an additional 12.5% shift differential for 2nd-shift work.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on V•I Chip production equipment.
• Provide continuous technical support to production operators and support manufacturing and test engineering teams.
• Manage spare-parts and supplies inventories, including purchasing and receipt verification.
• Prepare maintenance reports and analyze equipment performance trends.
• Debug and optimize equipment setups and changeovers to improve capacity utilization.
• Develop maintenance documentation and train and evaluate operators on equipment and process knowledge.

Requirements

• 3+ years of direct experience supporting plating equipment.
• Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment problems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and working knowledge of pneumatic components.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to read electrical schematics.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and principles, plus experience developing work instructions.
• Associate degree in electromechanical or electronic engineering, or equivalent experience, preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or experience with plumbing and/or welding.
