Supplier Quality Engineering Supervisor (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop project-based Supplier Quality Engineers by setting priorities, goals, performance expectations, and development plans.
• Oversee supplier quality activities across product development timelines, production readiness, supplier performance, and global quality standards.
• Lead containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action for supplier-related production, warranty, assembly line, and field quality issues.
• Drive APQP and PPAP reviews for high-risk suppliers, components, and processes, including risk mitigation for safety-critical purchased parts.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, capability assessments, quality system audits, and supplier development initiatives.
• Lead supplier recovery and continuous improvement programs while communicating risks, performance trends, resource needs, and business impacts to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, supplier development, manufacturing quality, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience with supplier audits, PPAP, APQP, CAPA, root cause analysis, quality system requirements, and production readiness.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, team lead, or formal mentoring experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, project management, communication, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Travel of approximately 10–20% to suppliers, manufacturing plants, and business locations is required; international travel may be needed.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Supplier Quality Professional, Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent certification.
• CAPM or PMP certification.
• Experience working with global suppliers, multiple manufacturing sites, and international cross-functional teams.
