is hiring for an overseas contractor role focused on data test engineering.
What you will do
- Validate analytics events across web, iOS, Android, tvOS, Roku, Fire TV, and other connected TV platforms.
- Verify data end to end across ingestion, transformation, data warehouse, and reporting layers using SQL, data profiling, and BigQuery.
- Build and maintain Java and Spring-based automation for backend and data pipeline validation.
- Expand automated regression coverage in DTE and shared GQE frameworks.
- Use Claude Skills, Claude, Cursor, and other AI-assisted tools to improve test development and troubleshooting.
- Develop test strategies, collaborate with BI, Data Architecture, AIDE, Product, and Engineering, and support production rollouts and monitoring.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of QA Test Engineering, Data Quality Engineering, or related experience, including 3 years focused on data pipelines, warehousing, or analytics validation.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data pipelines from event generation and ingestion through transformation and reporting.
- Java development experience, preferably with Spring or Spring Boot, for automation frameworks or backend validation.
- Experience building or contributing to automated test and data-validation frameworks.
- Experience with Python or shell scripting and cloud data platforms such as GCP, AWS, Airflow, Cloud Composer, or MongoDB Atlas.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tableau, Mode, Tealium, or Redshift.
- Experience with AI-assisted development or testing, including Claude, Cursor, Claude Skills, AI agents, or other LLM-based workflows.
