TL;DR
Staff QA Engineer (AI Infrastructure): Defining test strategy and building comprehensive validation solutions for the distributed, cloud-native Horizon Control platform with an accent on automation frameworks, API and integration testing, and release quality. Focus on validating event-driven workflows, Kubernetes environments, asynchronous systems, resilience, scalability, security, and performance.
Location: On-site at the Pune office, India
Company
develops Horizon Control and Horizon Store for distributed cloud-native and AI infrastructure platforms.
What you will do
- Define the overall test strategy, coverage, automation approach, quality gates, and release readiness criteria for Horizon Control.
- Review architecture, design, and API specifications to identify quality risks early in development.
- Design and maintain scalable API, integration, system, UI, and performance automation frameworks using Go, Godog, Gherkin, BDD, Playwright, and TypeScript.
- Integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and create reusable test libraries, fixtures, mocks, and reporting solutions.
- Validate distributed-system behavior across Kubernetes, NATS JetStream, PostgreSQL, Provider Engine, MOSS, and Rafay integrations.
- Lead defect triage, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, quality reporting, mentoring, and release validation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software quality engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Python, Java, or a comparable language, with hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong experience with API testing, REST APIs, OpenAPI, JSON, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience testing distributed systems, cloud-native applications, microservices, asynchronous systems, and messaging platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization, JWT, OAuth, RBAC, multi-tenancy, security testing, non-functional testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Nice to have
- Go-based automation development and Godog/Gherkin-based BDD automation.
- Playwright and UI test automation experience.
- Experience with NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Rafay, PostgreSQL, distributed data systems, or AI/ML infrastructure platforms.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, FIPS-compliant environments, and observability tooling.
- Knowledge of block and file storage protocols, including CIFS, NFS, and iSCSI, plus RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel, and networking concepts.
