Sr Specialist, Financial Analysis (Global Consolidation)

Location: Hybrid in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Occasional travel of less than 10%.

Salary: $108,000–$135,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare and review consolidation activities, financial reporting schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with domestic and international finance teams to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare analyses, reconciliations, consolidation adjustments, and elimination entries for investments in subsidiaries and other legal entities.
• Analyze consolidated financial results and communicate trends, risks, issues, and key observations to management.
• Maintain reporting instructions, process documentation, and supporting materials.
• Execute financial reporting controls and support internal and external audit requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Eight years of experience with a degree.
• In-depth accounting and finance knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced computer skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward professional certification.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Experience with financial reporting, consolidation, or accounting close processes.
• Experience using large financial reporting systems and data sets.
