Corporate Counsel, General Litigation (iGaming)

Location: Remote - US. Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts is required. A gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency may also be required.

What you will do

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, customer complaints, and other actual or potential legal threats.
• Develop response strategies and guide litigation from initial assessment through resolution.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and represent the company in small claims court when needed.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries from regulators and Attorneys General offices.
• Advise internal partners on emerging business issues, legal exposure, and litigation risk.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant litigation experience at a law firm; in-house experience is a plus.
• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active Massachusetts Bar membership in good standing or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts.
• Practical, business-minded judgment for evaluating legal issues, managing risk, and developing solutions.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license from the appropriate state agency when required.
