Location: Cleveland, Ohio, and the Northeast Ohio area, with field work and overnight travel around Ohio and surrounding states. Occasional longer trips are required for regional and national meetings and training.
Salary: USD $80,018–$90,000 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do
- Manage environmental investigation, assessment, compliance, and remediation projects from scoping and proposal preparation through execution and reporting.
- Prepare budgets, schedules, invoices, project accounting, technical reports, data tables, and qualifications statements.
- Conduct and support Phase I and Phase II assessments, site characterization, subsurface investigations, sampling, and remediation field work.
- Oversee specifications, asbestos surveys and abatement, demolition activities, subcontractors, quality assurance, and project deliverables.
- Develop client relationships, cross-sell services, support business development, and grow accounts under management.
- Coordinate project planning, data collection, and reporting while mentoring and training junior staff.
Requirements
- Professional or technical degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in environmental site assessment, remediation, and environmental compliance.
- Knowledge of Ohio VAP, ASTM Phase I and II environmental site assessments, and BUSTR regulations.
- Experience with contaminated-media sampling, groundwater wells and borings, field work at various PPE levels, regulatory research, and technical report writing.
- Experience managing environmental projects, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, invoicing, staffing, reporting, proposal writing, and subcontractor oversight.
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and an up-to-date 8-hour annual refresher are required.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree, professional licensure such as PE or PG, or state certification.
- Current State of Ohio asbestos certifications and asbestos project experience.
- Knowledge of brownfield redevelopment and brownfield grant funding.
- Existing client relationships or accounts that may transfer to the new employer.
