Location: Windsor, Connecticut, United States. The position is based at the Windsor office, with fully in-office or hybrid work arrangements. Travel is typically 10–15% throughout the United States, primarily in New England.
Salary: USD 120,000–170,000 per year. An annual discretionary bonus may also be available.

What you will do
- Provide engineering design and consulting services, including design packages, budgets, schedules, and technical support.
- Support landfill and solid waste projects involving landfill design, operations, permitting, leachate collection, capacity analysis, cell development, waste placement plans, and cost estimates.
- Design stormwater management systems and conduct hydrologic analyses for planning, development, and permitting.
- Develop plans, designs, and specifications to address environmental regulations and permitting challenges.
- Prepare compliance and control plans, including construction and industrial SWPPPs, SPCC Plans, and Soil Management Plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, senior managers, business development professionals, clients, and junior-level engineers while helping grow the client base.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of engineering experience, including landfill and solid waste project design, permitting, and construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university.
- Current Connecticut Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain it within 12 months.
- Experience analyzing data, site constraints, uses, and characteristics to develop independent design solutions.
- Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software, plus strong knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting.
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license, ability to travel within the United States, and successful completion of a pre-employment drug test are required.
