Wage Agency Instructor - CDL/Heavy Equipment

Location: Mesquite, Texas; candidates must live within 40 miles of Mesquite or be willing to relocate within that radius before the start date.

Salary: $45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver classroom and field instruction for CDL, heavy equipment, and transportation highway safety programs.
• Present course materials using various instructional media.
• Provide technical assistance to learners and training stakeholders.
• Update and modify curriculum content to meet learner needs.
• Report to the Training Manager for Transportation & Heavy Equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of verifiable Class A commercial vehicle operation, including four years of heavy equipment and transportation operations.
• Experience with at least two types of heavy equipment, such as aerial work platforms, backhoes, bulldozers, dump trucks, excavators, forklifts, front-end loaders, maintainers, or skid steers.
• At least one year of adult education or training experience.
• Valid Class A Texas Commercial Driver License held for at least five years.
• An applicable associate degree with three years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree with one year of related experience may satisfy the education and experience requirements.
