YUL - Aviation Electrician III (Aircraft Electrical Systems)

Location: Meridianville, Alabama, United States; onsite aircraft maintenance work with travel required up to 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Integrate wires and harnesses into aircraft and complete complex wire repairs and terminations.
• Troubleshoot aircraft electrical systems, perform continuity and power checks, and conduct operational and acceptance tests.
• Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, instructions, and modification work orders.
• Collaborate with engineers on changes to modification work orders and drawings during prototype, validation, and verification events.
• Terminate connectors, including coaxial cables, perform soldering, and use specialized test equipment and hand tools.
• Remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraft parts and systems while maintaining logbooks, workbooks, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of aviation experience, including 4 years using military standards and specifications.
• Experience or knowledge maintaining applicable military and commercial aircraft, including UH-60, CH-47, C-130, AH-64, V-22, and other listed platforms.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance and pass drug and background screening.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in cramped, awkward, and physically demanding positions, including climbing aircraft structures and work platforms.
• Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, documentation, customer service, and independent-work skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced wire repair training.
• Fiber optic cable repair certification.
• FAA A&P or FCC license.
