Instrument & Electrical Technician (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: New Johnsonville, Tennessee, United States. Onsite role with a four-day work week and 10-hour shifts; rotating or flexible shifts may be required.

What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, and instrumentation equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on DCS, transmitters, variable speed drives, and control loops.
• Calibrate gauges, controllers, transmitters, and other instruments according to ISO and site standards.
• Maintain motor control centers and motors, and perform Lock, Tag, and Try procedures before maintenance.
• Use technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Collaborate with operations, mechanical technicians, engineers, and vendors while supporting inspections, shutdowns, overhauls, and compliance records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of applicable industrial electrical or instrumentation maintenance experience, or two years plus an associate degree, equivalent technical or military training, or NCCER certification.
• Ability to work rotating or flexible shifts and meet physical requirements including climbing, PPE use, and vessel entry.
• Ability to work in a high-hazard chemical manufacturing environment is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical or high-hazard manufacturing.
• Experience with DCS systems, advanced instrumentation, and process control calibration.
