What you will do
- Manage electrical design and engineering projects, including scope, execution plans, schedules, resources, risks, and testing issues.
- Oversee electrical and instrumentation systems supporting site operations and organizational goals.
- Assist with equipment construction, commissioning, qualification, design controls, and design verification testing.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance and other departments, and develop maintenance documentation.
- Develop preventive maintenance programs and select electrical and instrumentation spare parts to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Train and coach junior engineers, maintenance technicians, contractors, and site personnel.
Requirements
- BS degree in engineering or science, or a licensed electrician qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing biopharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems and calibration programs.
- Technical background in process and manufacturing engineering, with strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and risk-management skills.
- Ability to lead or support multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with project teams.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, customer-focused, and effective at influencing and partnering.
Nice to have
- Experience with DeltaV, PLC, SCADA, SAP, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of biopharmaceutical processes, utilities, facilities, cGMP maintenance, and FDA-regulated environments.
- Project management experience, Six Sigma, Lean, FPX certification, or manufacturing facility start-up experience.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Equipment Excellence and maintenance and reliability best practices.
