Construction Manager - Large Projects

Location: US - Remote; the role supports and frequently travels to multiple capital project locations, potentially internationally, and may be based at a hirify.global site.

Salary: $141,120–$220,500 annually, plus a 16% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Lead construction execution for large capital projects, owning field safety, cost, productivity, schedule, and quality outcomes.
• Provide construction input during front-end loading and detailed design, including safety plans, quality plans, contracting strategy, constructability analysis, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify, onboard, and manage on-site construction management resources, contractors, and technical personnel.
• Coordinate construction and installation activities, maintain integrated project schedules, and ensure materials and equipment support field productivity.
• Manage field changes, contractor performance, progress tracking, and communication with project and business leadership.
• Support commissioning, checkout, start-up, competency development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of construction management experience on industrial construction projects, ideally progressing from a craft role into leadership.
• Broad capital project knowledge and practical expertise in civil/structural, process/mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls work.
• Experience leading large capital construction projects and achieving field execution through contractors.
• Ability to plan contracted field work, anticipate barriers and contingencies, allocate resources, and perform constructability analyses.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to capital project locations nationally and potentially internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience managing capital projects exceeding $10 million in a chemical plant setting.
• Experience with LEAN methodologies, Primavera or similar scheduling tools, and critical path method scheduling.
• Knowledge of construction and site safety, environmental procedures, contracting, purchasing, change orders, and value engineering.
• Experience motivating site teams, coordinating diverse stakeholders, reviewing estimates, and translating scope into cost estimates.
• Fluent use of Microsoft Office tools.
