IT Systems Engineer: Cloud Infrastructure

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Bellevue, WA. The position requires access to export-controlled information, so candidates must be U.S. persons or otherwise eligible under U.S. export regulations.

Salary: $182,000–$242,000 annual base salary, plus eligible bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and operate internal cloud foundations across GCP, Azure, and AWS, including landing zones, compute, storage, IAM, and workload configuration.
• Manage shared enterprise services such as VDI, bastion hosts, internal APIs, job runners, and internal tooling.
• Develop Terraform infrastructure, including reusable GCP project-factory and IAM modules, and contribute to CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, backups, disaster recovery, failover, and cost and performance controls.
• Partner with Security and Networking on zero-trust, defense-in-depth, hybrid connectivity, migrations, and platform integrations.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, document solutions, review code, and mentor less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience as a Systems, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineer supporting production environments.
• Strong hands-on GCP experience with networking, IAM, compute, storage, security, and observability in multi-project environments.
• Experience with at least one additional public cloud platform, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state, plan review, troubleshooting, and CI/CD-based deployment.
• Experience with cloud networking, identity and secrets management, Git workflows, Linux and Windows workloads, monitoring, logging, and operational runbooks.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with strong production troubleshooting and technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, agentic AI concepts, and AI-enabled operational automation.
• Experience integrating AI models or agents with enterprise systems, APIs, cloud services, and automation platforms.
