Founding Technical Sourcer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, Denver, or New York, United States

Estimated starting annual salary: $150,000–$190,000 USD, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Build the sourcing function from 0 to 1, including its vision, OKRs, operating model, and technology stack.
• Deploy and manage AI sourcing agents for candidate discovery, messaging, engagement, and lead nurturing.
• Design technical events, meetups, employer-branding campaigns, and passive talent pipelines.
• Lead technical intake sessions with engineering leaders and develop expertise in complex technology domains and niche roles.
• Own the sourcing funnel and optimize candidate engagement and conversion metrics through personalized outreach experiments.
• Report sourcing strategy outcomes and funnel performance to leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical sourcing experience in high-growth environments, such as Series D+ startups or hyper-scale companies.
• Demonstrated experience building sourcing strategies from scratch or leading sourcing strategy and metrics for a growing function.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI-powered sourcing tools, custom automation, and generative AI messaging systems.
• Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts, tools, developer domains, and changing hiring priorities.
• Proven experience using community events, technical branding, and content to build passive inbound talent pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills for measuring funnel conversion, iterating on outreach experiments, and reporting outcomes.
