Founding Technical Sourcer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; New York, NY

Estimated starting annual salary: $150,000–$190,000 USD, with potential equity upside.

What you will do

• Build and scale the sourcing function from 0 to 1, defining its vision, OKRs, operating model, technology stack, and success metrics.
• Deploy, configure, and manage AI sourcing agents, automation tools, generative AI messaging, candidate discovery, multi-touch engagement, and lead-nurturing workflows.
• Design and execute technical events, meetups, employer-branding campaigns, and content initiatives to generate passive inbound talent pipelines.
• Lead technical intake sessions with engineering leaders and develop fluency in complex technology stacks, niche roles, and changing hiring priorities.
• Own the sourcing funnel and create personalized outreach strategies across multiple platforms, optimizing conversion metrics throughout the funnel.
• Measure funnel performance, run outreach experiments, and report strategy outcomes to leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical sourcing experience in high-growth environments, including Series D+ startups or hyper-scale companies.
• Demonstrated 0-to-1 sourcing experience, such as building sourcing strategies from scratch or leading strategy and metrics for a growing function.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI-powered sourcing tools, custom automation tools, and generative AI messaging systems.
• Ability to rapidly learn complex technical concepts, tools, and developer domains during hiring manager intake sessions.
• Proven experience using community events, technical branding, and content to build passive inbound talent pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills for measuring funnel conversions, iterating on outreach experiments, and reporting outcomes to leadership.
