Graduate Java Developer (Telematics)

Location: Onsite at the Telematics Head Office, Arden Square, Crewe, Cheshire, United Kingdom. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Applicants must have full, long-term right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Coordinate with internal teams and contribute as a collaborative team member.
• Assess feature requests and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Write effective, scalable, and testable Java code.
• Integrate user-facing elements into applications and improve existing system functionality.
• Test and debug programs and identify and fix production bugs.

Requirements

• Recent degree in computer science or an equivalent subject.
• Familiarity with at least one Java framework, such as Spring or Netty.
• Familiarity with an object-relational mapper such as Hibernate.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Next.
• Knowledge of relational databases and database design, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Good problem-solving and technical and non-technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
