CNC Machinist, IV – 1st, 2nd and Weekend Shift (Medical Devices)

Company

Manufactures high-precision machined, finished, assembled, and anodized components for major medical device companies. The facility is FDA-registered as a Class 2 and Class 3 Medical Device Manufacturer and certified to ISO 13485.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and maintain Citizen, Tsugami, and Index lathes, Robo Drills, Mill Turn equipment, and horizontal and vertical mills.
• Perform offsets, tool changes, preventive maintenance, and basic FANUC robot program adjustments.
• Set up complex legacy components and new production orders for stable machine operation.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, CMM, Gauge R&R, AQL, qualification, and first-article inspections.
• Maintain inspection, material traceability, and quality documentation in ERP and QMS systems.
• Lead problem-solving and quality best-practice activities while mentoring and training lower-level machinists.

Requirements

• Machine trades technical school certification or equivalent transferable experience.
• Ten years of relevant experience in a regulated medical manufacturing environment with machine-trades certification, or fifteen years of relevant regulated medical manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Class I, II, and/or III medical device manufacturing, calibrated equipment, and hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO standards, mechanical equipment care, inspection processes, blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Word skills, strong organization, and the ability to identify nonconformances.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and work around industrial materials while following PPE and safety requirements.
