Sr. Specialist, Software Development & Engineering (C#/.NET, React)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States; priority is given to candidates residing in the Columbus metropolitan area.

Base pay: $131,000–$218,300 annually, with potential bonus or long-term incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software across frontend and backend systems.
• Lead complex features and services within distributed, cloud-based architectures.
• Translate product and business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive code quality, automated testing, observability, security, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, assess technical risks, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience, with 8+ years of professional software engineering experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.
• 5+ years developing backend services with C# and .NET.
• Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, automated testing, software design, debugging, and cross-team technical collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Redis, or similar asynchronous processing and event-streaming technologies.
• Experience building highly available SaaS applications and using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Agile product development, architecture reviews, and technical specifications.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
