Senior Accountant, JV & VIE

Location: Dallas, TX, United States. Applicants must have work authorization that does not require company sponsorship now or in the future. The position involves access to export-controlled information and requires eligibility under U.S. Government export regulations.

Salary: $98,000–$130,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Own accounting for assigned joint ventures and investments, including monthly close, financial statements, and partner reporting packages.
• Support VIE entity close activities by preparing journal entries, schedules, reconciliations, and variance explanations.
• Prepare distributions, capital calls, waterfall calculations, intercompany entries, eliminations, and consolidation support.
• Manage workpapers and analyses supporting financial statement disclosures for joint ventures and VIEs.
• Coordinate with accounting, finance, legal, and JV partners to resolve cross-entity issues and reporting requirements.
• Maintain process documentation, support audits, meet SOX 404 requirements, and identify automation opportunities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to consolidation, joint venture, or structured entity accounting.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers within a fixed close calendar.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and consolidation concepts, with familiarity with SOX control environments.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working accurately with large datasets.
• ERP systems experience required; NetSuite experience is an advantage.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future company sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Joint venture, VIE, ASC 810, equity method accounting, or financial statement disclosure experience.
• Big Four or public accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate status.
• Experience working with AI tools.
