Company

Texas A&M Engineering, including the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, conducts basic and applied engineering research and supports technology transition, workforce development, and public-service initiatives.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for detecting cyber-physical attacks in electric power systems.
  • Design and implement real-time analytics using Python and TensorFlow.
  • Conduct research in AI-enabled cybersecurity for electric power systems.
  • Analyze research data and present findings through technical documentation and presentations.
  • Contribute to collaborative, multidisciplinary research projects and team initiatives.
  • Apply advanced knowledge from doctoral research in artificial intelligence and power systems cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience or knowledge in machine learning, power systems, or cybersecurity is helpful.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow are helpful.
  • Understanding of electric power systems and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Employment requires completion of Form I-9 and proof of authorization to work in the United States by the third day of employment.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Research experience in machine learning, power systems, or cybersecurity.
