Junior Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, Almaty, Kazakhstan

What you will do

• Own the fiscalization and tax domain, including e-invoicing, fiscal receipts, VAT, withholding rules, and gig-worker social contributions.
• Deliver country-specific tax and fiscalization requirements from regulatory analysis through live implementation and statutory deadlines.
• Manage the commission calculation service, ensuring accurate debiting, collection consistency, reliability, and scalability.
• Translate regulatory and finance requirements into product specifications, acceptance criteria, roadmap items, and backlog priorities.
• Coordinate integrations with payments, driver balances, reporting, and accounting systems while monitoring production incidents.
• Improve processes to reduce manual corrections, recalculations, reconciliation effort, and time to market.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in product management, business analysis, project management, operations, analytics, or finance.
• Basic understanding of fintech mechanics, including commissions, payment flows, billing, and settlement logic.
• Ability to work with regulatory and legal texts and convert them into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Miro; analytical skills with SQL or Tableau, or readiness to learn them quickly.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers on integrations, incidents, technical constraints, and service trade-offs.
• Fluent English is required for documentation, cross-team communication, and international stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in IT, economics, finance, management, or a related field is required.
