TL;DR
EHS Engineer (f/m/d) (Environmental Health, Safety and Process Safety): Supporting EHS, environmental sustainability, and process safety programs at the Cairo manufacturing site with an accent on risk assessment, regulatory compliance, ISO management systems, and contractor safety. Focus on conducting PHA and MOC activities, investigating incidents, coordinating emergency preparedness, and improving energy, water, and waste performance.
Location: Cairo, Egypt; onsite at the Cairo site

What you will do
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Process Safety Management programs.
- Promote safety culture through campaigns, observations, coaching, employee engagement, and Safety Committee initiatives.
- Conduct workplace risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses, inspections, audits, and evaluations while tracking corrective and preventive actions.
- Support PHA, MOC, PSSR, process safety reviews, incident investigations, contractor safety, permit-to-work, and contractor control processes.
- Coordinate emergency drills, inspect fire protection and emergency equipment, and support Emergency Response Team activities.
- Manage environmental and sustainability activities covering waste, recycling, Zero Waste to Landfill objectives, permits, reporting, and energy, water, and waste metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification.
- Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical, food, flavors, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industries.
- Experience with Process Safety Management.
- Knowledge of What-If Analysis, LOPA, Bow-Tie, HAC, and ATEX methodologies.
