TL;DR
E&I QC Engineer (Electrical and Instrumentation): Monitoring and coordinating quality control, inspection, testing, installation, and commissioning for electrical and instrumentation works on a major EPC project in Egypt with an accent on ITPs, method statements, NCRs, and international electrical standards. Focus on identifying non-conformances, coordinating client and third-party inspections, closing punch lists, and maintaining accurate quality documentation.
Location: New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt; onsite role supporting a major project in Egypt.

What you will do
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify quality, engineering, inspection, and testing requirements for electrical and instrumentation works.
- Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans, method statements, inspection procedures, and quality records.
- Monitor procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and implementation of approved quality procedures.
- Coordinate inspections and testing with project teams, clients, third-party agencies, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Track punch-list close-out, instrument calibration, non-conformances, NCRs, and corrective actions.
- Support subcontractor and supplier audits, client inspections, and preparation of final quality documentation and system commissioning records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in electrical quality control, preferably in construction.
- Experience with electrical inspection, testing, installation, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of ITPs, method statements, NCRs, quality records, inspection procedures, and Electrical and Instrumentation testing requirements.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and IEC.
- Very good command of English, together with strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
