Intermediate Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid, requiring three days in office per week in the Denver or Cedar Rapids hub, United States. Occasional travel under 10% may be required, including international travel. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $70,000–$84,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus.

What you will do

• Identify security weaknesses and vulnerabilities across on-premise and cloud technologies.
• Support secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, static and dynamic application security testing, vulnerability validation, and remediation tracking.
• Enhance and automate the vulnerability management lifecycle, including prioritization, reporting, dashboards, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze security data and prepare project, departmental, key indicator, and dashboard reports.
• Research and implement information security policies, processes, controls, and technology improvements.
• Promote secure coding and provide practical application security guidance to employees, contractors, developers, and technology teams.

Requirements

• At least 1–3 years of cybersecurity engineering experience, including 2–3 years of related application security experience.
• Experience with application security, dynamic and static scanning, container security, vulnerability validation, and remediation.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF and applicable security standards and control frameworks.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability management systems such as Rapid7, ServiceNow Vulnerability Response, Snyk, or CrowdStrike.
• Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, or equivalent systems, plus vulnerability reports and dashboards.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• OSCP, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CASP+ certification.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or fintech.
• Knowledge of hirify.global products, systems, or business domains.
