Forward Deployed Engineer (Palantir Foundry)

Location: Belgium, remote, with travel to secure customer facilities and operations centers across Europe approximately 25–75% of the time

Annual base salary: €80,400–€118,500, plus discretionary bonus and company equity.

What you will do

• Partner with defense and security customers to understand situational-awareness and force-protection challenges and scope technical solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models, Compute Modules, repositories, workbooks, and applications.
• Integrate hirify.global real-time intelligence with customer workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control systems.
• Build and fine-tune custom widgets and operator-facing applications.
• Own solutions end to end, make independent technical decisions, and debug infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
• Advise customer engineers and operators and relay their feedback to hirify.global product teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, including data pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories or Workbooks, and application development.
• Professional proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript or JavaScript, Bash, and Go.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or solutions engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Linux, networking, and on-premise infrastructure.
• Active NATO Secret security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25–75% and work on-site in secure customer facilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with classified, air-gapped, restricted, or disconnected environments.
• Defense, intelligence, national security, or emergency-management experience.
• Familiarity with geospatial platforms such as Esri or ArcGIS and common operating pictures.
• Experience with frontend frameworks and data-rich operator-facing applications.
• Additional European language proficiency and knowledge of NATO or national defense environments.
