Data Engineer (Senior) (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the central customer data ecosystem across more than 60 brands.
• Design scalable data products that provide a unified source of truth for business intelligence, operations, and AI initiatives.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Lead secure, cost-efficient data architecture and establish practices for modeling, orchestration, observability, and governance.
• Implement data lineage, metadata management, versioning, schema evolution, and quality controls.
• Collaborate with Analytics, ML, and AI teams, optimize pipeline and query performance, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data management.
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, or extensive experience with open table formats.
• Expert SQL and data modeling skills, including dimensional, star schema, and snowflake techniques.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Strong command of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitLab or GitHub, data versioning, schema evolution, and distributed metadata management.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related quantitative field.
