Non-Tenure Track Adjunct Instructor (Chemistry) - Pool (Chemistry)

Salary: Compensation is paid on a per-course basis and is commensurate with education, experience, academic discipline, and faculty credentialing.

What you will do

• Teach up to seven undergraduate or graduate semester credit hours per assigned semester.
• Maintain student records, submit attendance reports, and post assignment, midterm, and final grades on time.
• Mentor and assist students throughout the course.
• Provide a minimum of three office hours per week.
• Attend student orientation and departmental meetings when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the department head.

Requirements

• Undergraduate teaching: Doctorate or master's degree in chemistry, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Graduate teaching: Earned doctorate or terminal degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of chemistry and effective teaching methods.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multitask, and collaborate.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use virtual teaching technologies when required.

Nice to have

• Prior collegiate teaching experience.
• Knowledge of online learning management systems.
