Environmental Specialist II – Stack (Environmental)

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The role involves customer-site field work, outdoor industrial settings, overnight and local travel for multi-weekday projects up to 75% of the time or more, and occasional weekend travel or work.

Salary: CAD 28.00–38.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Follow established testing methods, procedures, and processes for consistent source testing.
• Perform field source tests professionally at customer locations.
• Record complete and accurate test data on datasheets.
• Prepare glassware and perform cleaning, repair, calibration, and fabrication for projects.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass background checks and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in industrial environments, climb and work on elevated platforms from 50 to 300 feet, and follow CSA and other applicable safety standards.
• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds and work in hot, cold, rainy, windy, and sunny conditions.

Nice to have

• Transferable experience in laboring, construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical work, laboratory work, environmental work, or field science.
