Field Operations Systems & Process Specialist (Microsoft Power Platform)

Location: Texas, MS, with a combination of office and field-based work and frequent visits to construction sites, service centers, and operational facilities

Salary: $75,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead implementation and deployment of field and work management systems across operating divisions.
• Partner with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and office personnel to support adoption, training, and go-live activities.
• Observe field workflows, gather requirements, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reporting.
• Develop training materials, user guides, job aids, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on field training.
• Configure and maintain approved Microsoft Power Platform components, including Dataverse tables, forms, views, workflows, and permissions.
• Support troubleshooting, data validation, reporting, dashboards, user acceptance testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in utility construction, transmission and distribution operations, field operations support, construction technology, or a related operational environment.
• Experience working directly with field personnel and operational leaders, supporting software implementations, operational systems, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, training, requirements-gathering, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, background check, drug screen, required safety training, and ability to work at active construction sites.

Nice to have

• Experience in electric utility transmission and distribution construction.
• Experience with field management, work management, operational technology, or construction software.
• Familiarity with Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Experience with field training, change management, operational reporting, production tracking, or job costing systems.
