Platform, DevOps & Data Manager (Azure DevOps)

hirify.global is a global digital distributor of electronic components building a Global Engineering Organization to strengthen internal software delivery and production ownership.

What you will do

• Build and manage the Platform, DevOps & Data function, including team structure, hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and capacity planning.
• Own delivery discipline for CI/CD, deployment automation, environment management, DBA and data platform work, monitoring, observability, and release support.
• Lead DevOps and Platform resources working with Azure DevOps pipelines, source control, build automation, deployment automation, environment configuration, and developer tooling.
• Lead DBA and Data Platform resources responsible for SQL Server reliability, performance, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and production escalation.
• Partner with Software Engineering, QA, Infrastructure & Security, Product / Delivery, and business stakeholders to improve reliability across internal platforms.
• Establish processes for incident response, L2/L3 triage, root cause analysis, post-incident remediation, documentation, and recurring production risk reduction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across DevOps, platform engineering, database operations, site reliability, infrastructure engineering, data platforms, or related technical functions.
• 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams, preferably in distributed or multi-location environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of CI/CD, release management, deployment automation, environment management, monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Experience supporting business-critical production systems and managing both operational support and improvement work.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server or similar relational databases, including performance, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and production support.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, build and release pipelines, work tracking, engineering reporting, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Nice to have

• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server AlwaysOn, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, GCP, and hybrid cloud or on-premises environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, configuration management, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platform tooling.
• Experience with Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or similar observability tools.
• Experience with ETL / ELT, SSIS, Airflow, dbt, data warehousing, reporting platforms, analytics feeds, security controls, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience in electronic components, technology distribution, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, e-commerce, or similar B2B environments.
