Clean Utilities Engineer (Biopharmaceutical)

Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States. Onsite engineering support is required for the manufacturing site, including rotational 24x7 on-call coverage and occasional work outside normal hours.

Annual salary: $88,281–$119,439 USD.

What you will do

• Own utility systems and equipment supporting operations at the North Carolina manufacturing site.
• Support the design, construction, startup, commissioning, qualification, and modification of new and existing systems.
• Develop maintenance programs, manage spare-parts availability, monitor system performance, and implement reliability improvements.
• Provide troubleshooting support, lead technical root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce production downtime.
• Support product and technology introductions, engineering runs, capital projects, supplier assessments, and new system or equipment selection.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, validation, and utility operations teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 8 years of engineering or maintenance experience, an associate degree with 6 years, a bachelor's degree with 2 years, or a master's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Experience with biopharmaceutical utility systems such as pharmaceutical water, clean steam, clean air generation and distribution, CIP, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and air compressors.
• Experience with equipment and facility control-system operation, logic, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in regulated environments such as cGMP, OSHA, or EPA, including change control, deviations, non-conformances, CAPA, qualification, and validation.
• Ability to provide rotational 24x7 utility-system support, including occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and other after-hours coverage.
