SQL Database Engineer – Platform Data Developer (SQL Server)

What you will do

• Design and develop database processes and business logic using T-SQL.
• Write and maintain stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions for applications and reporting.
• Optimize SQL Server queries and indexes and analyze execution plans to improve performance.
• Implement and manage SQL Server Enterprise features, including partitioning, compression, and in-memory tables.
• Create, monitor, and troubleshoot SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduled processes.
• Use Extended Events and other diagnostic tools to investigate performance issues and support Telerik-integrated reporting workflows.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Strong understanding of database process design and business logic implementation.
• Experience with query optimization, performance tuning, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience managing SQL Server Agent jobs and troubleshooting database processes.
• Familiarity with Extended Events and other database diagnostic tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with CLR integration and advanced SQL Server features.
• Familiarity with Telerik or similar reporting tools.
• Experience in auto finance, consumer finance, banking, or accounting technology.
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and business domains.
