Senior Data Engineer, Enterprise Data and Protection (AI)

Location: Hybrid role requiring office attendance three days per week in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States

What you will do

• Lead enterprise data discovery, classification, cataloging, privacy, and protection initiatives across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Design and support data masking, tokenization, anonymization, and sensitive data management solutions.
• Engineer and optimize database and cloud platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, AWS, and Azure.
• Build scalable automation using scripting, APIs, workflows, AI, and generative AI technologies.
• Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk, Governance, and Compliance teams to meet regulatory and data protection requirements.
• Lead technical design discussions, mentor team members, and maintain architecture documentation and operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in privacy data engineering, data security, data protection, or related technology disciplines.
• Expert experience with at least one enterprise platform such as OneTrust, Informatica DPM, Informatica TDM, BigID, or a similar solution.
• Expert experience with Python, Java, PowerShell, SQL, or API development.
• Experience building automation solutions with AI and generative AI, and supporting enterprise cybersecurity and privacy programs.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise-scale privacy initiatives.

Nice to have

• IAPP CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM certification.
• CISSP certification.
• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer, Snowflake, Informatica, or other data protection and privacy certifications.
