Senior Contracting Specialist (DoD Acquisition)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Diego, California

Salary: $80,000–$125,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Provide procurement methods, processes, and tools to improve cost, schedule, and performance efficiency.
• Manage and advise on contract strategies, acquisition planning, solicitation, source selection, and contract administration.
• Identify contract-management issues, recommend corrective actions, and support Government stakeholders.
• Develop briefs, training packages, standard operating procedures, policy updates, guidebooks, and other contract documentation.
• Advise on PWS development, CLIN structures, evaluation criteria, contract modifications, and conformed contract maintenance.
• Develop contract metrics, track obligations and expenditures, and coordinate Industry Days and contract-related actions.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience managing DoD Program Management contracting processes from initial planning through sustainment.
• Experience with DoDD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02, SECNAVINST 5000.2, and other DoD 5000-series acquisition policies.
• Experience with FAR, DFARS, NMCARS, statutory procurement requirements, market research, cost and price analysis, and acquisition planning.
• Experience developing RFIs/RFPs, Statements of Work, CDRLs, CLINs, DD-254s, Acquisition Plans, Source Selection Plans, and Justifications, Approvals, Determinations and Findings.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• DoD Secret Clearance required. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
