Equity Institutional Portfolio Manager (US Equity)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid remote/onsite work environment

Base salary: $175,000 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Serve as the lead portfolio management representative for assigned institutional products and act as an investment representative for internal and external clients.
• Explain investment styles, portfolio strategies, holdings, performance attribution, transactions, and investment outlooks to clients, consultants, prospects, distribution teams, and financial advisors.
• Manage portfolio functions outside stock selection, including client guidelines, cash in clone portfolios, customized portfolios, client service, and marketing support.
• Partner with distribution and portfolio managers to develop product distribution strategies, refine investment philosophy, track style-consistency metrics, and support asset retention.
• Generate investment ideas, monitor holdings, manage risk, and use fundamental and quantitative research, company meetings, and industry conferences.
• Support sustainability initiatives and communicate examples of engagement on material environmental, social, and governance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in the investment management business.
• Experience as an institutional portfolio manager, working with institutional clients and consultants, and managing portfolios is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of US equity markets and broad knowledge of the investment environment, economic trends, financial markets, and competitive trends.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail, proactive working style, and diligence in responding to business and client needs.
• MBA and/or CFA Charterholder preferred.
