Intern Operational Excellence (Utilities)

Location: Columbus, OH — Arena District; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the reporting location. The GIS Environmental track may also be based in Merrillville, IN.

Salary: $17.20–$29.70 per hour.

What you will do

• Support the planning, development, and implementation of Power Delivery operations work plans.
• Collect data and prepare reports covering programs, budgets, forecasts, and work plans.
• Research public environmental records and add them to the service territory Geographic Information System.
• Support GIS editing and environmental data management.
• Assist Transformation Office consultants and governance leaders with continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in project collaboration, professional development, and team-building activities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university and entering junior or senior year in fall 2027.
• Major in GIS, engineering, accounting, operations management, business management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Analytical, process analysis, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and independent working skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
